Is drunk and drive case problem for government job

Iam a government employee.i recenly got the job. For regularisation purpose the office has given me attestation forms so i have to fill them and have to submit to the office.in these attestation forma there is question about police records about me.before i got the job i arrested for drunk and drive case and i was in jail for three days.

Shall i hhave to mention about this in these attestation forms or not.Will this case get me in any truoble for my job.please advice me.

Dear Sarath 

you can mention it in your attestation, but don't worry it will not hinder with your job if 

(i) the trial was over without conviction . 

(ii) the imprisonment/fine is over or has already given , if convicted . 

The government verifies both the above through local intelligence units while doing the PVR (Police Verification report).

Of course the crime committed by you shall affect police verification.
