liability of children

what is the liability of children towards their aged father for his livelihood? is married daughter have any responsibility of father? if daughter is married even without informing father about her intentions of marriage and father incurred financial losses for her past behaviour, can he claim to make good of his financial losses?

every son has to maintain their old aged parents.married daughter has no obligation. father cannot claim from d daughter for loss

I think  if married doughter has independent income and aged father has no other surce of his livlihood. married doughter is liable to maintain her old age father.

In my society every children have a responsibilities towards their aged old parents, whether married or not.

A father ,if he is incapable to maintain himself , can claim maintenance from her daughter if she has sufficient means to maintain his father.


Every person having sufficient means must maintain their aged parents as per law ,especially ,in view of Criminal Procedure Code,section 125.


But in this case the aged father can claim maintenance from her daughter but he cannot claim for the losses incurred because of the marriage.
