LIC Jeevan Saathi matured after divorce.

I'll keep it short.
- divorce was granted on mutual consent in 2018.
- in the divorce decree, one of the clauses states that "there shall be no claim between the parties for past, present or future arrears/maintenance/alimony"
- LIC Jeevan Saathi plan, on both our names is maturing soon. iam the Primary Life Assured and ex is Spouse Life Assured.
- LIC states that they will need NOC from ex spouse to release payment, even after Decree of Divorce has been shown.
- no whereabouts of ex spouse and lives abroad, is what I learnt few years ago.
- how do I convince LIC to release payment? I have been making premium payments from my salary.
- pls show me a solution to this.
thank you everyone.

You shall write to exspouse on his last known address and thereafter file application in trial court for direction to ex spouse and or in alternate direction to LIC.

Maturing LIC policy 4 years after passing a mutual consent divorce do not constitute any claim from spouse in terms of decree.

Issue legal notice to ex-spouse at his / her last known address as well as LIC
