Mother name change in bate of birth certificate of son

Hello Sir,

I have two kids (twins) born on 1-11-2004. My wife have 2 names.

1) Sanjana - which everyone will call her in home,relatives.

2) Sonu - all her certificate names X,XII,PAN,Driving License,Bank Account

but when my kids was born my grand parents given my wife name as sanjana so it was printed in my birth

certificate as

Mother Name : Sanjana Marwah

when i apply for my both kids passports I have written mother name as:Sonu

Passport officers rejected my application and told me to get a DOB with correct name (Sonu Marwah).

I also shown the govt gazette but they not considered it as govt document.

so plz help me. how to change my wife name from Sanjana Marwah (home name) to Sonu Marwah (certificate name).
