IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE COMPANY (WHICH IS IN SHOP AND ESTABLISHMENT ACT) TO DECREASE THE SALARY OF A STAFF, WHO IS NOT PERFORMING WELL, EVENTHOUGH HE IS PERMANENTLY PLACED AND WITH APPOINTMENT ORDER.

salary can be reduced but it is subject to minimum wages act. kindly download the act from our website lawyersclub.

Salary cannot be reduced as a penal process. At the best the employee can be put in re-appraisal owing 

to non-performance, subject to property enquiry.
