Order 16, Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 provides for filing of a list of witnesses. But there appears to be no express provision in CPC for deletion of names from a list of witnesses. However, still names can be got deleted by applying under section 151 of the CPC. While doing so, the reasons for deletion of names must be given.
