i made a complaint against uttar pradesh pashimanchal vidyut vitran nigam for deficiency of service in consumer forum.i applied for 2 kv commercial electricity connection for running an internet cafe & as well as share trading terminal(as a sub broker).

the district forum did not accept me as a consumer and dismissed my compalint.as i know i have a 30 days time to appeal in state commission. but my lawyer without my knowledge took my all documents from district forum before 30 days and gave in written that i do not want to appeal.

so please tell me that

1. have i lost my right to appeal ?because my lawyer has given in written that i will not appeal.

2.can a lawyer act on behalf of me after judgement has been given?

please guide me earlist because i have 3 days left to file an appeal.

You can definitely go for an appeal stating that the undertaking given by your lawyer was not under your instructon. In the meantime you will also have to approach the Bar council of the state where your advocate generally practices that such and such advocate has acted against your interest.
