Dear Sir,
My bros wife has been harssing my bro since 2yrs now .She has thrown my elder widow bhabi' her two daughters n my father out n they r presently residing with me.She has clearly told my bro that wont keep them . all my bhabi's things r lying over there .She came to my house in just one sari.Its been two months now. We were quiet bcoz my bro said he will try to convince her ,but a month ago she fought with him ,called her bro n mom to threaten him.My bro ran from the house in just the clothes he was in .Now ,she is continuously calling him to come back but my bro is residing in NCR n not willing to come as he fears that she might put him into great problems. She has done the same in the past as well.Please guide us as she has called my sister in Rajasthan n told her send my bro back or we would be facing dare consequences. My sister's mobile has a self recording system n all her conversation has been recorded in it ,can it be of any help .Waiting for a good advice .

Dear Ms.Saroj,
The law is heavily tilted in favour of women, the law would forget that women from husband's family are also women and entitled to the same protection. Once she implicates you all in a dowry case - it would be really tough to protect you - so intimate nwo the concerned authorities the fact scenario with relevant guidelines, dig the well before the fire starts to protect yourself against a possible false dowry case. The recording would greatly help.

Your widow Bhabhi and her two daughters are equally protected by the law.
File a case for PWDVA, 2005 for right in shared household. Make your other Bhabhi a respondent alongwith your brother.

ask your bhabi to lodge a complaint nearest police station regarding yours. the women aiding law are equal to all women. be confidence and proceed further step

a widow is not bound to bear the atrocities simply if the tormentor is also a lady. She has right to move to CAW cell. In case your sister is able to record more conversation then depending upon the contents of conversation (if they amount to threat to file false cases extortion or other crime) she can even consult her lawyer to file criminal case at the place where she received such telephone threats for herself or for other family members.
AS far as throwing out is concerned your bhabhi and father are entitled to police protection against dispossession (if the house is joint).
The texture of your blog itself indicates anti-woman bias. You are not uttering even a single word against your brother who is the beneficiary of deeds of his wife and without his aid this development could not be there.
