Check with local court fees act which differs from state to state.
In WB, It can be filed wither in Munsif court or in sub judge court.

You have to file the case in the civil court in which place the land is situated or where one or more of the beneficiaries reside. Fee varies. But for partition it should be Rs. 100/- or so. Not much. You cannot file this case in Sessions Court/Magistrate Court, High Court etc. It is the local civil court which would have jurisdiction.

If the land is agricultural then you have to file for its partition before local Talathi/Tehsildar irrespective of the value of the land as even the value of the land is not mentioned therein.
If the land is within Lal Dora or within city area/municipal area then the suit should be filed before District Judge.
