Kr vs kumar

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 09 April 2025 This query is : Resolved
I am a neet aspirant this year nta released a guideline that class 10 marksheet should match adhaar card if it doesn't make changes in adhaar the problem is my fathers name Is krishna kumar Roy and in all my and my fathers documents its written as kumar but in my 10 marksheet it's kr and when I visited adhaar kendra to change my fathers name they are asking for voter or ration but all those has kumar written and they are saying they can't accept class 10 marksheet and in my registration form I have written as kr and when I enquired with nta about this problem they said u can seat for exam but during documents verification I may have to give justification for this if I get selected so what type of verification they are asking for is it affidavit
And if I give 1 year drop if I can't clear in this year I presume this guideline will still be there if I make affidavit if I make affidavit thus year will they accept next year
And can any institutions reject me from getting admission for those small eror it's my father name at the end not mine

Is your father name inconsistent from one another certificate of yours.
If your school certificate is having a different name of your father to that of the aadhar card then you may have to follow the prescribed procedures to rectify the error.
Otherwise you prepare the affidavit and keep it ready to produce the same for verification.

Well analysed, opined and advised by learned senior expert Mr. T Kalaiselvan, which I fully agree.
Prepare and present an affidavit to the effect that Kr and Kumar are one and the same person and father of deponent.

My school class 10 marksheet has kr in my fathers name in class 12 marksheet has kumar in his name and his real name is also KRISHNA KUMAR ROY
So ok sir T Kalaiselvan and Dr J C vashista
I will prepare an affidavit regarding this
BUT THE THING IS I CAN'T UPDATE ADHAAR BECAUSE I CAN'T PROVIDE ANY DOCUMENTS TO PROVE ITS KR (which is not) KR IS WRITTEN ONLY ON MY CLASS 10 MARKSHEET SO AN AFFIDAVIT WILL BE FINE RIGHT MEANS IT WILL DO THE JOB RIGHT
PLZ TO THE ALL THE EXPERT I HAVE A REQUEST IS IT OK RIGHT AFFIDAVIT IS ENOUGH RIGHT
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 10 April 2025
you do not have to update your aadhar card because of the technical constraints, you may be ready with the affidavit alone which will come to your rescue at the time of need

Yes. And if your father is an employee, how was it recorded in his service records?
P. Venu (Expert) 10 April 2025
To my knowledge, marksheets do not include father's name. The insistence on particulars in marksheet matching with Aadhar is, in my considered opinion, in the context vital and elementary aspects such as Name, date of Birth etc.

Every student, if otherwise qualified, is entitled to appear for NEET. Such right cannot be impeded by impossible conditions. Facts, as posted, reveal that authorities have already formed a purposive view of the issue.,

When NTA has informed you that you will be allowed to appear to the NEET, you may well do so. Regarding mismatching your father's name in your different documents, in my view if your father is alive, your father may arrange to get a "One and Same Certificate" (of Kumar & Krishnakumar) from his concerned Village Officer in addition to either a Notarised Affidavit Or a Gazette Notification Or newspaper notice, which can both be produced during your document verification in support of your case . Go ahead and prepare for the neet. Best of luck.
