self aquired property to ansisteral property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 April 2023 This query is : Resolved
inherited properties from  mother, grandmother, uncle, brother, or other family members don't qualify as ancestral properties. But same property if my uncle to transferred to  my father , my father to me then is it become ansisteral property?

Any property can convert self aquired property to ansisteral property?

For ancestral property, any legal heir cannot transfer to any person unless it is partitioned. Only after the partition of ancestral property among all the legal heirs, then the individual who got his/her share, it will be his/her own property and transfer to any person by way of gift/sale.

The property transferred by your uncle to your father cannot become ancestral property either to your father or his next generation children.
It becomes your father's self acquired property.
