I am a govt. Gazetted officer, living away from parents and relatives since 15 yrs, now my bhabi committed suicide and her parents made case against all family members, it is taluka place where case registered. I am no way concerned , now as only one advocate from side of us, i am not beliving on my parents as well as advocate, shall i get separate advocate, if i got arrest, it may affect my job, what should be further precautions? Pl guide, shall i approach senior police officers ?because i smell police and advocate may ruin the case and in turn my future

Since you are distantly related you should not worry much. However to evade arrest do engage an advocate of your choice and apply for anticipatory bail. In this type of case you should get bail and once you get that your job is secured.

You should definitely engage a separate lawyer and first of all should ensure your anticipatory bail as you might be on duty on the alleged day of occurrence. Get the attendance certificate with the distance of your place of posting with the place of occurrence so that you may get its benefit.

If in your state/Where the FIR is registered, AB is not applicable then get an arresting Stay from High Court after filing a petition u/s 482 of Cr.PC.
