498a & dv 2005

My wife called to her relatives fight with me and went with them in 13/05/2011 she field 498A against me and my parents in January 2015. Now, in the February 20015, after long separation of 4 years she filed a petition under the DV ACT us 12, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23.
Can you please help me about the limitations?

Separatiin can not be a ground for domemstic violence.. Even violence can bedone while you are separate also.. Its according to your case and pleadings.. Just consult any local lawyer. He guide you properly

There are no limitations for filing 498A or DV on the husband's family as long as divorce is not granted.

She can file DV case. Try to have amicable settlement to save the marriage and if this is not possible, defend the case against you.

I agree with experts, no limit to file case u/s 498A IPC and/or POWFDV Act, 2005.
Settle the matter amicably by reconciling, give and take, leaving aside your ego, should seek help from some elderly respectable person(s)or relative(s).
