About probation period and sniority

if in gazzeted officer avail leave on medical base will his probation prolong and whether his seniority will hamper. please also give me legal references

Which kind of leave and of what duration? Leave on medical can be E/L, HPL, Commuted Leave, or even Extraordinary Leave.

In normal case of sanctioned leave, other than EOL without medical, probation is not extended, if the Officer passes the prescribed departmental examinations during the probation period.
