Abusive and theratening email

(Querist) 09 February 2014 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir/s

On day 1, Mr. A has received a very abusive and threatening email from Mr.B. Thereafter, Mr.A has replied to Mr.B for taking a legal against him (Mr.B) for sending him the said abusive and threatening email.

However, on day 7, due to any reason, Mr. A mailed to Mr.B stating that 'you may treat this issue as closed for ever'.

I would like to know whether the mail of Mr.A to Mr.B stating that 'you may treat this issue as closed for ever' legally put an end to the issue or still Mr. A is open to take legal action against Mr.B.

Please reply.

Thanks in advance.

I refer to your earlier query regarding the same.Since B being your relative and B had also stopped sending further such mails after receiving the warning from A and A him self had closed the issue there is no necessity to reopen the same.If B starts again then you could file a complaint in Cyber Crime.Other wise just forget it.

Though merely sending such closure mail does not stop him form talking legal recourse in future, for the sake of peace it is better to forget the episode.

you are at liberty to take legal action . however for sake of family ties forget the issue .

A has right to take legal action.
however, as advised by earlier Experts, it is wise to close the chapter.
