REGARDING THE LEGAL REMEDY KINDLY NOTE THAT.

1.KINDLY NOTE THAT YOU ARE JUST 17 YEARS OF AGE AND YOU HAVE TO FACE THE REAL LIFE DIFFICULTIES TO SURVIVE.SO BE COOL AND CONFIDENT.AND YOU HAVE TO BE TOUGH TO DEFEND YOURSELF IN FUTURE.
2.YOU AND YOUR MOTHER STAYED WITH YOUR FATHER FOR MORE THAN SEVENTEEN YEARS.KINDLY NOTE THAT HE HAS TAKEN CARE OF YOU BOTH FOR FOOD FINANCE AND SHELTER AND SAFETY FOR SUCH A LONG PERIOD DUE TO LOVE AND AFFECTION.KINDLY NOTE THAT ANY PARENT WILL ALWAYS THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THEIR CHILDREN.THOUGH DUE TO TENSION AT WORKPLACE YOUR FATHER MAY BE BEHAVING ROUGHLY WITH YOU AND YOUR MOTHER.BUT DO NOT TAKE HIS WORDS SERIOUSLY AS DUE TO FINANCIAL AND OTHER DIFFICULTIES HE MIGHT HAVE DEVELOPED SUCH ATTITUDE.
3.YOU WILL BE MAJOR PERSON IN NEXT YEAR SO BE COOL AND CONFIDENT AND TRY TO SUPPORT THE INCOME OF YOUR FAMILY BY JOINING SOME PART TIME JOB. LEARNING TO EARN IS NOT AN OFFENCE.BE SELF SUPPORTING AND JOIN SOME GOOD COMPANY .YOU WILL GET GOOD JOB AND YOUR FUTURE LIFE WILL BE MOST SUCCESSFUL.
4.KINDLY NOTE THAT PARENT WILL ALWAYS WISH FOR BEST THINGS FOR THEIR CHILDREN THEY ARE MOULDING THEIR CAREER BY POINTING OUT THEIR MISTAKES BECAUSE THEY LOVE THEM.
5 YOU MAY WRITE AND SEND DETAILS FOR ANY FURTHER HELP.OR CALL.
THANKS.

A daughter has got a right to be dependent on her father she still gets married and the age of 18 is applicable in the case of only son. Hence, your father has got legal responsibility to bear your maintenance for bare survival and even for your studies (if his financial position allows for the same). The monthly amount you are entitled depends upon his monthly income. This right you have got by virtue of Section 125 Cr.P.C. of India.

In the case of your mother, your father knows that she was not earning any thing and even then he married and hence, he has got moral as well as legal responsibility. She is also entitled her monthly maintenance under the above said provision.

There is other alternative remedy. Your mother can file a petition under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act making herself and you as petitioners and can seek maintenance. What your father is doing against both of you is called "economic abuse" and you have got a right to seek redressal of this economic abuse.

Finally, as my learned friends said, please try to earn some thing by doing part time job while continuing your studies.

Wish you best of luck.

Try to avail bank loan and finish a professional course. In the mean while you can do any part time work also.Your father could not put you outside from the house. It is his duty to protect you.Try to study your father's problem deeply and make him to understand it.Definitely a family counselor can help you.So see a family counselor and protect the family relation ship.
