MY FATHER DIED IN AN ROAD ACCIDENT.SO WE GOT INSURANCE AMOUNT VIA COURT BUT MY SISTER IS MINOR SHE IS 13YEARS OLD MY SISTER AMOUNT IS DEPOSITED IN THE BANK VIA COURT
MY QUESTION IS
1,WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE MY SISTER AMOUNT IS DEPOSITED IN THE BANK VIA COURT WITH LOW PERCENT OF INTEREST.
WHETHER WE HAVE THE RIGHTS TO CHANGE THE BANK WHO GIVES HIGH INTEREST FOR FDR?
IS THERES IS ANY PROCEDURE LIKE FILLING PETITION IN THE COURT TO CHANGE THE BANK
2,SHE IS MINOR SO SHE NEEDS PANCARD AND 15G FORM FOR TAX DEDUCTION.

She needs Pan Card and 15 G form, as the matter relates to tax and no one is exempted from tax :) further the bank will inform you about the same and every year before March the bank will send you letter to deduct the tax if it has an accruing interest of more than Rs.5000/- which is liable to be deducted at source (TDS)and in the same form mark it as COMPENSATION which is free from all tax deductions.
For minor's pan card any Major person having Pan card can apply on her behalf and the authorities will make that person as beneficiary for that Pan Card though your name will not appear on that card but you will be scrutinized for the same.
