Action against web developer

Hiii I have given 20000/- RS in advance for the development of the website. The developer is a relative of my friend. So we had a communication on emails. But he failed to meet the deadlines 3-4 times and not responding now.

All communication is on email and WhatsApp. I requested him many times and told regarding the importance of time and my dreams with the project. But he did not respond at all.

Please advise to take the money back by going through legal process.

Do you have receipt of money paid and/or formal agreement to develop website? If show it to a local prudent lawyer for guidance and proceeding.

You may serve a legal notice. You also have the option of placing the matters before the Adalat (Taluka or District Legal Service Authority) functioning in the local Court.
