I have filed divorce case on the ground of cruelty. The case in evidence stage.

Can I add additional ground of desertion in my divorce case ?

Yes, you may request your counsel to move an application under Order VI Rule 17 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 for amendment of petition.

Yes , additional/another ground of divorce can be added by amendment of divorce petition.

Yes, amendment could be sought. But you should have sound reason to convince the Court as to why this averment has not been pleaded in the original petition itself. In other words, amendment being sought ought to be based on an event subsequent to the filing of the OP>
