The reason trends of indian judiciary shows that admiralty practise followed in ancient india,british period and during post independant period have been drasticaly changed through judicial activism. Criticaly evaluate the statement?

It is true that we do not have a comprehensive Admiralty law in India but that does not mean that Admiralty matters are guided by judicial activism only. The law has evolved over the years & presently Indian courts are following International conventions to which India is a signatory. Most HCs, especially those with a coastline e.g., Calcutta,Bombay, Madras etc. have well defined Admiralty procedures. NOTE;- Check Meeson's Admiralty Law.
