Adopted right in hindu law

One of my friend got adopted, when he was 12 year old to his Maternal Uncle by Custom and now he is 29 years old .

In public they announced him as son and they did the ceremony.

But they made deed adoption in plain paper. Now his adopted father is die.

he has any right as son in that family.

@AUTHOR, IF HIS ADOPTED FATHER NAME IS MENTIONED IN ALL THE STUDY CERTIFICATES, VOTER CARD, AND OTHER IDs FOR PROOF, THEN HE WILL HAVE RIGHTS AS A NATURAL SON.
