It is her own child. No adoption is required.

She is the real mother of her child. So, she does not have any need to adopt her own child.

It seems the question is more related to defeat/ block the claim of first husband on the child.
Sadly the same is not permissible in law.

Dear Shonee,
If the querist does not want to divulge relevant information, how we can presume at our own that he has asked with the intention just to block the claim of the husband on the child?

Dear Mr. Dhingra,
It is quite obvious to the discerning lawyer.

Respected Ramachandran ji,
May that be as per your opinion, but the querist is also required to state full facts, if he or she wants proper solution as per law. On the face of the query, I don't think yours or my earlier answers are wrong.

Dear Mr. Dhingra,
Agreed. Both of us are quite right in our earlier answers to the query.
Even Mr. Shonee Kapoor did not say that we are wrong. But he went one step ahead, visualised the real/possible intention of the querist and gave his views. That's all.
I confined myself to the query in hand. If that straight answer puts paid to the intention of the querist, that is sufficient as far as I am concerned.

Section 11(i) of the HAMA,1956 bars to adoption.

Dear Shri Ramachandran,
Based on the observation of Shonee, I do agree with his contention and have no point of difference about his answer.
My main concern, however, was about the intentions of the querists or their wrong feedback about the information, who normally keep the experts in dark by avoiding to give any background of their questions. In fact they don't realise what harm they are doing only to themselves by extracting wrong replies from the experts, while I am sure they won't hesitate to blame the experts for being wrong, may that be due to their own wrong feeding of information.
You can very well see, even after our discussion on the validity of question and answers, the querist has least bothered to give any clarification.

There is no question of adoption in this case. The lady has to get a court order to keep the child with her, if the father has a dispute.

Ramachandran ji, I 100% agree with your observation. We have to face such type of half baked or twisted facts through the questions asked to the experts.
