Agree with Mr. Khaleel, adoption is not permissible in muslim law. I fail understand, when it is impermissible, how a muslim can adopt. Any adoption contrary to muslim law, is illegal.

Respected All,
It is clear that there is no provision of adoption in muslim law. But if a person want to do so how it is possible in the eye of law? Actually a muslim lady aged about 70 year wants to adopt a child son of her daughter. any legal option is there? please suggest me.

Being a Muslim there is no option left for her to adopt any body legally. But she can undertake him as guardian appointed by the consent of the parents of child.
