Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act :
Sec;6,7,9,10,11,12
Widow, widower, and bachelors can also adopt.
Any Hindu male who has attained the age of majority and who is of sound mind can adopt.
Adopted child is deemed to be a natural child of his adopted parents for all purposes.

Dear Sir Kumar Doab,
Thanks for taking interest in conflict case. Situation is - A senior Citizen have no relatives or those are not associates with him have some strengthened relation with cousin sister's family that no more but her daughter who is married is taking care of him. Since senior citizen, to give all rights to her he wants legal solution so at later date she does not find any legal difficulty

Other perspective:
WILL: Preferably registered. Registered WILL may not be easily set aside on the counts of authenticity.
Any WILL can be contested.
If contested it may land up in Probate Court of pecuniary jurisdiction.
Cost, time, litigation is involved in Probate.
WILL comes into effect after death of testator.
Gift: Registered gift deed comes into effect once gift is made by donor and accepted by donee and confers ownership on donee immediately.
Gift with reasonable conditions (enjoyment till owner is alive) is another option that you can explore.
The relationship with daughter of cousin sister may not necessarily be covered under 'list of Relatives' for exemption from duty/charges.
You may inquire locally.

Dear Pradip Gohil,
With reference to your description of the statement, "IS ANY ONE WHO IS LIVING ALONE CAN ADOPT ADULT/MARRIED PERSON" Mr. Kumar Doab, at first has referred sections 6,7,9,10,11,12 of the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act and thereafter in clear words has advised you that "Married person can also be adopted."
To be doubly sure about his advice, you will be justified to ask him to quote relevant section of the Act, under which your relative can adopt an adult married person, so that your relative or the adopted lady may not get involved in any type of violation of law.
