respected sir,
my friend had sex chat with a married woman on a social networking site for 2 days only sex chat as he never met her and never had sexual intercourse with her and deleted the chat of the first day by asking her password. later on she changed it. the chat was consensual. they had never met. and my friend had deleted his face book account and even changed his no. .if the husband of the wife found that chat in her account's inbox will my friend be prosecuted for any offence?

Not for adultery as defined in Indian Penal Code because for that purpose penetration is necessary .....

what crime is attempted by him? as there is no section defining attempt to adultery. no act is done neither he met her. what is the offence he committed and where that offence is defined in which section? and its punishment too?

no sir he is my friend. please solve my query.is there any offence committed by him as he never met that girl just had s*x chat on social networking site for 2 days and later on deleted his account from that site.

no sir no case has been filed from any side it has been about a month now. i just wana know that will my friend be dragged in this? as he never met that lady also. just a s*x chat on social site. the lady is not doing any case as the chat between both of them was consensual. i wana know sir that can husband of that lady file a case of adultery against my friend as my friend never met that lady.

Till now U have not mentioned whether her husband is aware of the so called sex chat.
Incase he gathers authentic proofs then both of U may be in a soup.

Otherwise this is just an academic query.
