Advance payment by service provider

Dear Sir,

Is it right as per law to take advance payment by any service provider before providing service. For example, children school fee, telephone bills and other miscellaneous fees of this kind.

In India we have lot of options, for prepaid phone connections or postpaid; it is your choice according to your convenience. In the case of school fees, there are many schools (Govt.) who do not ask any fees and instead feed your children by noon meal, etc., without any payment. Hence the choice is yours. Take best decision according to your requirement.

On advance receipt of Fee school is liable to pay service tax and there is no wrong in it
