is it true that a marriage certificate is not valid till both the spouses and the two witness signed in the form and in the register of the marriage registrar?
In that case me and my husband never signed in any register however our lawyer made us sign the form along with the witness.so is our marriage certificate valid or invalid ??

yes, you can freshly register with register office along with all details.

First try to check whether your advocate has not got your marrige registered on the basis of the form you have already signed along with witnesses.

If married even without registration, formal divorce would be in the interest of both, if desired to be obtained, to avoid any complication at some later stage.

As per your earlier words your advocate put your signature and registered your marriage.. Its mean your marriage got registered. Now you want to separate mean just you may do it.. No need to any divorce petition.. Cos if there is not your signature mean you just challenge that register certificate.. Your husband will produce the marriage certificate as one of his favour document.. At the time you just challenge it..

Please tell me the procedure to check if the my marriage was registered and the way to get a duplicate certificate as i do not know the lawyers name .

Go t0 the concerned Registry Office with the copy of that certificate and check on your own.

Sir,

I do not have marriage certificate and i need a duplicate certificate.Both the certificates were lost by my husband or that's what he kept saying.

Please let me know if there is a way to get a duplicate marriage certificate.
