After buying land got notice

I buy a land recentlly and got notice that the land saller had contract with one more person in 2011 and now that person filed a suit. in that sale agreement time is not mentioned after 6 six he filed the suit.and the agreement is also not registered and written on 2 rs stamp paper. Now i contacted the lawyer and they are asking huge money.i had nothing to do with case but i dnt know what to do can anybody help me

A case has been filed, if you are also a party, you should defend your interests. Immediately engage a lawyer. In absence of your defense your interests are not safe.
