MY FATHER HAD 2 WINGHA AGRICULTURAL LAND IN GUJARAT..BEFORE 5 YEARS IT IS SOLD...
NOW MY FATHER HAVE TO BUY LAND BUT PEOPLE SAID YOU ARE NOT FARMER SO YOU CANT BUY IT ???
IS IT TRUE

only agriculturist can purchase agricultural land

It is correct tat the status of your father has become as of non-agriculturist and thus he cannot purchase the land,

Consult local agricultural department and discuss with them if any provision exist as per local law.

You may consult a local lawyer on this issue, because you said that your father had agricultural land earlier which has been sold 5 years ago, hence in my opinion he may still retain the agriculturist status, please clarify from reliable sources.
