Agriculture land

(Querist) 16 September 2017 This query is : Resolved 
I purchased small farm land about 20 years ago in a village in Maharashtra I am not an agriculturist Therfore 7/12 records do not have my name though proper sale deed exsist . Will I be able to sell this agricultural land without difficulty at a fair market price There are agents who legally arrange agriculture status in my name but they are very expensive which I am unable to afford

Getting agriculturist status on forged documents or by mean of overrule mandatory legal requirement will lead you in another trouble. It is better to sale out land. Get cancelled sale deed of your favour by a cancellation deed. directly transfer this land to buyer through original owner.

The purchase made by you is illegal and non est in the eye of law, as in Maharashtra sale of agricultural land to a non agriculturist is prohibited. Hence the suggestion given by the expert to get the land sold through the original vendor should be considered.
