Alimoney / Maintenance for son

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 03 June 2011 This query is : Resolved
I am married in 2005 and now have a son. As I am suffering from paralysis of lower limbs I can not walk properly. Currently I am also jobless. My wife is in service. Currently we are staying with my parents. My parents are retired and are sustaining on their pensions. They have not inherited any property. They own a flat and have some bank deposits. As I am jobless, my wife wants divorce from me. Do I have to pay alimony to my wife and maintenance for my son? After divorce, does my wife and son have any right on the property I might get from my parents after their death? Please give your opinion

If you are so handicapped that you are unable to earn whatsoever, then perhaps, you need not pay alimony or maintenance for son more so when your wife is earning. Your wife may not have right in your property after divorce but your son will have.
