Kindle tell me procedure to rectify or change the sirname in marriage certificate.
also tell what are the documents required.

Move an application along-with a duly sworn affidavit and evidence in support of change of sirname with the registrar of marriages and after due enquiry get the work done ats desired.

actually I had personally visited the registrar department in kandivali west. the place from where the marriage certificate was issued. but the concern person over there told me that they dont have facility/software of amendment or do changes in marriage certificate.
so what should be my next step.
he told me to make some kind of affadavite. so what is that exactly.

well if he has told you to make an affidavit then you have state all facts in said affidvit as to when marraiage took place , when was marriage certificate issued ,the reaso n why you want change in name in marriage certificate etc. it has to be affirmed before a notary public

all deatils are known to you . contact a local advocate . for preparation of affidavit all details are necessary . hence cannot mail you any format
