This query is : Resolved
Good Morning to All experts.
Hi this is Neeha, And i have a query for which i need suggestions and advice from you.
We are manufacturing company and we have obtained Certificate of Registration of Manufacture/Packer under Rule 27 of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities Rules) 2011.
Now since there is a change in constitution of the company we would like to go for amendment of the said certificate. I have tried to find out the form for modification of the certificate but couldn't. Hence request you all to let me know whether there is any format for filing a modification of the license? if yes, can you please share me the format and also relevant documents that are to be submitted along with the Form. of Is it enough if we just make a request on the company's letter head stating about the modification?
Kindly do the needful.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Neeharika

Please answer the following questions:
1.Is your company a registered one under Companies Act?
2.What exactly is the change in constitution of the Company? for e.g., is it a change in name, board of directors, etc.

Inform the change in Board, address to the Director (Legal Metrology) in your Company's letter head along with documents like, board resolution, ROC acceptance of change in Directors, address etc., You may need to pay a nominal amount as fee for effecting appropriate changes in the Regn. Certificate.

You will have to follow the Rules framed under the Metrology Act and as amended from time to time, by your own State Government, as there is points of differences in their rules with the central rules as per the requirements of the concerned states. There are plethora of forms prescribed in the rules by respective states. So, better go through your own state's rules and apply in the prescribed form.
