The ancestral property cannot be transferred by your father in your name. All the legal heirs (including daughters) have an equal share in the ancestral property. All the legal heirs may release their rights over the property in favour of you.

Right now my grandfather is also alive and is there any help that i can get to transfer the property in my name, if so i would like to know the process.

Your grandfather's property if inherited by your father as his share then he can transfer the same by executing a registered settlement deed in your favor, you can enquire the costs i.e., the stamp duty and the registration charges form the local registrar office
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 07 March 2024
Since ownership of property vests to your grandfather and he is alive then he can transfer the property to you by way of registered gift deed.

How is that the property is ancestral? It could be that the property is self-acquired and hence, the grandfather is the absolute owner.
