Ancestral property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 31 January 2011 This query is : Resolved
We have an ancestral property in Andhra Pradesh purchased almost 80 years back by my great grand father. We don't have the documents since its very old, but we are staying there and we have all other proofs that it belongs to us like Tax receipts, Electricity bills, etc. but my concern is that i should have proper documents. PLease let me know how to get them or proceed further.

Your Grand Father legal heirs /Successors can execute and Register a partition deed / /or / one can release his share in favour of other share holders - in the said Deed all the facts and Tax Records etc can be incorporated as Supporting title and Possession since 80 years - or - for possible Long period- for more than 30 years and the said Deed to be Registered and on the basis of the such Deed you can mutate the property and also can sell the property !
