What is apartment DEED?
What problems I may face if Apartment DEED is not done after initial agreement for my flat?
Can we do Apartment DEED without builder being involved?
Problem is I have purchases flat in Pune, Maharashtra on 27/07/2010(agreement date). I paid 1% VAT at the time of possession of flat. Now builder is saying I have to pay 5% VAT. Unless I 5% VAT, he will not do Apartment DEED.

apartment deed is a 'Sale Deed. of an Apartment. The deed will give you a Clear & Marketable Title to the property.
In respect of apartment ownership, the legal title of the flat along with a proportionate share in the common areas of the building and also proportionate share in the land on which the building stands, vests in the apartment owner.

builder will conevy the apartment to you giving you clear and marketable title . you cnnaot do without the builder consent

Without developer you can execute sale deed.

you must have paid substantial sum to builder for purchase of flat running into lakhs . builder is willing to execute apartment deed and wants you pay 5%vat . pay it and get the property regd in your name .
