Dear sir,
I want to appeal in the supreme court, for which I would like to know the following:
1.What is the procedure?
2.What does advocate on record mean?
3.How long does it take to file SLP?
4.At what stage should we decide if a senior counsel is required?
5.What could be the fee of senior counsel, like P.P.Rao or Sori Sohrabjee?
Thanks and Regards
Ifrah

In case of Arbitration awards, appeal has to be preferred in the appropriate forum, not at supreme court.

If you shall get all information of Civil Procedure Code or Constitution of India merely by writing some lines then the lawyers and law professors shall have to die of hunger.
Make labour and read law books as examination are cominf nearer.

You already have availed the services of experts. Then act as per their advise.
They are competent enough to guide you regarding the procedures etc.
This is not a ssection were you will be provided with the fees of advocates / counsels. We don't have any such database with us.
Thanks.

Unless you give some information as to against what kind of order, you lost before High Court. Is it against an arbitration award, or for appointment of arbitrator, or against any interim measure underS.9 etc.
It it is against award, grounds for filing appeal are very limited, like award is against public policy of India etc.
Filing of appeal does not take much time, but disposal time depends on many factors.
Advocate on record is an advocate who represents you before the court. If you engage a Sr.Counsel, Advocate on record briefs him the case, and Sr.Counsel argues the case.
Sr.Counsels normally are prohibitively costly, depending upon their stature and standing. Unless a very good stake in the case, people rarely engage senior counsels, because they normally(again) do not take less important/ordinary cases.

Respected Sirs,Mr Murali krishna,Mr. Isaac Gabriel,
We are appealing against the arbitration award under section 34.
How many times does a senior counsel have to appear to get a stay?
If defendant doesn't file a caviat, does the senior counsel take the fee per stting or till we get the stay?
