Applicability of esi to a shop -reg.

Respected Learned Expert(s), I am running a hardware shop (trading activities) with 12 employees at Puducherry (Pondicherry). Whether, ESI Act apply to my shop? Kindly advise me.

I opine ESI registration applies to all factories or entities that employ 10 or more persons who have a maximum salary of Rs. 21,000/-.

Yes, ESI is applicable visit the nearest ESI Office or visit the Website of ESI portal and comply with the procedural aspects given therein in obtaining ESI recourses for Employee. Thanks
