Who is the appointing authority for Metropolitan Magistrates in Mumbai / Maharashtra and to whom one can complained about their criminal nexus with accused persons and corrupt police officers resulting in hardly 5% conviction in criminal complaints. It only shows the kind of self seekers and corrupt politicians are ruling us. Hope to get real answer and not just vague replies.

Selection of MM's come through state public
service commission.After selection they are appointed by state and appointment letter is issued by the Governor of state but their working is monitored by the District Judge and High court.The complaint should be addressed to the District Judge with a copy forwarded to Administrative Judge.may be to CJ also.But you must have sufficient proves of your allegations.Conviction or Acquittal
rate can not be sole basis of the complaint.

Hon;ble Chief Justice is the Head of the Administrative Court but while you will submit your complaint you shall have to address
TO, The Hon'ble Chief Justice and His Companion Justices of the said Hon'ble Court etc. etc. You better contact with any Advocate practicing in Bombay High Court he may guide you.

File a complaint with the Registrar General of the High court addressing the complaint to the Hon'ble Chief Justice of Mumbai High court, but before that make sure that you have sufficient and substantial evidences to prove your complaint against the MM.

ur matter is 11 years old.
case started in 2005, for a crime committed in 2002
Many Magistrates must have been changed by now.
Many PP must have been trf.
IO must be posted to diff other Police Station.
U must appoint a so called "WATCHING ADVOCATE , OR WATCH DOG " and expedite matter by applications..
5% conviction is a very good news!!
I think it is less than that, due to corrupted officials, interested in money, and selling justice.
All love money, not justice, in criminal cases, and right of aggrieved person, who suffered is taken away by Govt/ & Police...
+ need strictest proof, benefit of doubt to criminals!!:
ADM OF JUSTICE IS TO POOR, , SO best of Laws can't punish criminals, and crime/ corruption go on increasing in India.
RULER FAILED TO DELIVER JUSTICE IN INDIA..
JUSTICE IS DELAYED AND DENIED.
And many a time the victim is punished!!!
Now if Delhi is ruled by Aam Admi Party, Let us see, justice is available to AA...P

Respected Sirs,
Heart felt thanks for participating in the query. It is unfortunate that the country is ruled by thugs and corrupt politicians and in the past 60 yrs. they have produced / fathered more and more thugs and corrupt persons occupying key post. Just imagine while Sanjay Dutt is granted parole time and again due to his resources and sister being an MP there are thousands of under trials in jail with out any access to justice. We Indians were better off with British rulers than the imported stuff and half Indians.

Dear Mr. Todi,
Better you say that previously we were ruled by the British merchants now we are being ruled by the criminals and muffias. Look at Peoples Representation Act which has become turned into Party's Representation Act. appointment of High Court Judges needs recommendation from the State Government Administration which is the platform of political parties although Judiciary and Administration are two different entities and interference in their respective jurisdiction is barred by our Constitution. Thirdly,our Constitution declared us a secular state whereas, some schedule castes and schedule tribes were also included in our Constitution.
