Arguing one's own criminal case

(Querist) 15 June 2015 This query is : Resolved
Learned Experts,

As have been left out with no other choice,I would like to argue my own criminal case(PC case) for certain compelling reasons.

I know that it is better go with a lawyer. But in the eventuality that i plan to argue my own,

1)whether the presiding judge will allow this and take it kindly...

2)what are the practical difficulties one may encounter...

Thank you in advance...Would be grateful for your kind reply.

The constitution provides a right to represent UR own case with due permission of the Hon'ble Court. But there are some designated professionals who have been assigned by way of their qualification and expertise to represent on behalf of others.Even though U know the procedure U cannot perform an operation unless U are a medical graduate and its the same way with engineers and other professionals.A person who studied law can better present or represent in the court of law.

It is your primary right to defend yourself before any forum. That requires no permission as such.

It is your choice to contest yourself or through your counsel. If you feel you are competent enough to proceed, no permission of court is required to defend your own case. There are many instances where petitioners/ respondents are appearing and contesting their case in-person.
However, there are certain invisible and unpredicted circumstances in the case where professional expertise will sail you through rough weather.

Why are you spreading facts on different pages. You gain nothing out of it rather run the peril of getting wrong advise based on half facts.
