In a PIL 62 of 2014 in Andhra Pradesh high court, Petitioner challenged the decision of Army' s closure of certain public road. In counter defence Counsel argued that Army has a right to close the road under the provision of section 2 & 3 of Official Security Act 2013 as the road is defined as "prohibited area" in section 2 under subsection 8(d).
