What's the profile/working of Asst Disst Attorney?

In other words ADA is a 'sarkari vakil' who represent the state in proceedings before a court. It is a permanent post. Usually the recruitment process is through a test. I read it in this forum only that Government of Haryan is conducting a test/ exam for recruitment of Assitant Public Prosecutors ( another name given to such posts)

few states like Punjab have employed ADAs on contract basis and now Haryana as Mr. Thukral has said advertised the posts, these r permanent posts...54 in no....last date of submission of form is 9th of Jan.

IN KERALA, ASSISTANT PUBLIC PROSECUTORS FOR JUDICIAL FIRST CLASS MAGISTRATE COURTS ARE APPOINTED BY CONDUCTING EXAMS AND INTERVIEWS. IT IS A PERMANANT POST.
BUT, FOR DISTRICT AND SESSIONS COURTS,(WHERE MORE SERIOUS OFFENCES ARE TRIED )
PUBLIC PROSECUTORS ARE APPOINTED BY STATE GOVERNMENT ( ACTUALLY BY POLITICAL LEADERS ), WITH OUT ANY EXAMS OR, INTERVIEWS ! IT IS NOT PERMANANT POST ALSO ! ACTUALLY APPOINTED FOR 5 YEARS ! BUT, IF IN THE MEANWHILE, IF THE OPPOSITE PARTY COMES TO POWER,HE WILL BE EXPELLED !
IS IT AS PER THE PROVISIONS OF CRPC ?
ALSO, LET ME KNOW, WHETHER SAME THING IS HAPPENING IN OTHER STATES ALSO ?
