Attestation of document

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 10 June 2011 This query is : Resolved
I think my earlier query has not been properly understood or may be I have erred to put it in proper form.
To my mind any document which is available in the official record and on which action has been taken in a Government office, becomes and official document and attaching an attested or true copy of that document as a supporting document cannot be termed as a criminal act even though the author of the document is not known to the officer attesting the document. Further the author of the document has also admitted in a separate court in the lower court of having submitted the document.
Now please render your opinion as to whether the attestation of an official document was wrong? I shall be grateful if the opinion is supported by any authority.

What is the matter? are you being held for any offence or what? Attestation of a document without comparing with the original is not permissible. Attaching an attested document per se is not a crime. But if you attach attested or true copy of some strictly confidential document without obtaining officially attested copy, you may land in trouble.

YOU MAY BE RIGHT IN STATING THAT"I think my earlier query has not been properly understood"
BUT THIS TIME YOU ARE MORE TRUE TO SAY" may be I have erred to put it in proper form. "
kindly come with neat facts next time, and then have opinions and then evaluate them with your logic.
Mr.palnitkar v has rightly remarked"Attestation of a document without comparing with the original is not permissible."
