Authenticity of bank draft

Hi,

Pls let me know how to check the authenticity of Bank Drafts. how to confirm if the draft is not fake.

If it is a Bearer DD, then you can go and encash it across the counter. You will come to know about its authenticity.

If it is A/c payee, then there is no other way than to deposit it into your account and wait for the result.

In case you have any doubt, then you can wait for the encashment of the DD before doing anything.

You may have to deposit the DD in your account and wait for its clearance to confirm its authenticity.

Irrelevant question. You must state the reason of your doubt about the DD issued by the bank, itself. You could have even confirmed the genuineness of the bank draft by showing that to any banking official in your nearest bank branch.
