Dear sir/Madam,
I,m kuber datta from west delhi. i have a credit card of hdfc bank which was block 4 years back. now i m jobless i,m getting job part time some time again jobless. hdfc recovery agent use abusive language and they harass me verbally. not even with me bt my wife too.
could u plz tell me what can i do in this case ?

Lodge complaint with the Police. The courts are quite strict against such illegal activities of collection agents.

Does he abuse verbally by coming to your place or through phone?

Ask for his name, note his phone number, besides lodging a police compalint against him for harassment and use of abusive language, you may also lodge a complaint to RBI for violation of its instructions. Still further, you can also lodge a compaint to the concerned telecom service provider for use of abusive language by the agent and seek disconnection of his business phone.

Also, whenever, he happens to come to your place to threaten you, just call police control room at 100 to get him arrested.

In case the said recovery agent threatens you on account of being retired policeman then be informed that pension of Govt servant is subvject to future good conduct and you complaint to this effect to the DGP from hwere he retired will put his pension in jeoparady which may be much dear to him than anything or anyone.
