Birth certificate

(Querist) 31 August 2013 This query is : Resolved
Hello,

One of my friend wants to take birth certificate from the corporation but there is one problem. The problem is the child was adopted during her childhood but no adoption deed was made at that time. Further the name written on the birth certificate is of the real father but she wants the certificate in the name of her father who has adopted her. Now the problem is the father who has adopted her is no more and the corporation officer is not allowing her to issue birth certificate without adoption deed even though she is having all the other statutory documents like Aadhar Card, Licence, Bank Account Name, Pan Card on the name of the father who has adopted her. Can anyone please suggest the procedure for getting Birth Certificate from the Corporation

Apply to the Municipal Authority or with the copy of discharge certificate from hospital , apply to the CJM.
Consult a local advocate for doing this.

There is no proof that she was adopted legally with out an adoption deed. She can file a suit to declare her as legally adopted. If court decrees, she can apply on the basis of decree.

Is there any easy way to do this....As all the documents are available which are prepared considering the name of the father who has adopted her...can't it be sufficient proof that she was adopted..also she can produce death certificate of the father...why such a tedious procedure is their for such a simple requirement??

Old record with the municipal authority can be rectified / changed on the orders of competent authority only.
