Hello,
My query is I don't have my birth certificate today I am 25 years old.i was born at home at that time my parents has not taken my birth certificate from bmc.now I want to do application for my passport for it is compulsory to have birth certificate.now pls suggest me how I can get my birth certificate.

In most of the states there is procedure for late registration of birth on Magistrate orders after completing formality.
Sub-section 13 (3) is relevant for the Judicial Magistrates. It provides that any
birth or death which has not been registered within one year of its occurrence, shall be registered only on an order made by a Magistrate of the First Class or a Presidency Magistrate after
verifying the correctness of the birth or death and on payment of the prescribed fee.
Under the provisions of section 13(3) of the Act, as it exists at present, there is no time bar on delayed registration of such events.
