Sir
I am an engineering. I am having trouble in getting my fresh passport. For the issuing of passport birth certificate has to be shown as a proof of date of birth. My birth certificate has a different date of birth than my all other school documents. Is there a way to solve this matter ? Particularly can a correction be made in the birth certificate by showing all the school documents ?

If you have simply asked for re-issue of the passport based on the details given in the original passport, you would not be having any problem whatsoever.
However, if you wanted to change any of the particulars in your old passport (like date of birth etc.) then you will get into problem.

It cannot be possible to change the date of birth in the educational certificates as per your birth certificate at this stage. If you find that your date of birth is incorrect in the school certificates, then you may have to file a suit for declaring the correct date of birth which is relied upon the birth certificate issued by the authorities.
