reply to legal notice that blank cheque was given for security purposes . that loan amount of rs 50,000 has been repaid . further mention that in cheque deposited date , amount has been filled in by MR A . material alterations have been made in cheque without your consent .

you will have to contest case on merits

Either repeated or coincidence. In recent past i read a query with which facts stated resembles exactly.

The story you have is difficult to believe that you returned amount borrowed but forgot to collect security cheque and would be even difficult to prove as only you would depose,
there would be no corroboration for it.

Was the loan of 5ok in cash?

What amount has he now put?

What does he do?

Better consult a lawyer personally.

You are living in Oman and this fact can be a very good defence for you.

The validity of the cheque generally in these days is 3 months from the date of filing in the cheque. If you are residing in Oman since more than 3 months then definitely it shall be a good defence for you.

Reply the legal notice if the same is directed towards you as already suggested.
