we r going to organise seminar on Business Law but we don't want it would be only bookish... so I request,please suggest us current practical problems in corporate laws i.e. company law, SEBI, Contract,Insurance,NIA,Insurance,Banking, Consumer Protection... We r student of Law Faculty so problem should have that perspective...
& also please suggest dignetories in concerned field.

In an old 1936 registered documentin Kerala , the name given to it as Mumpattachit.The duration of possession of land was for one year only. What would be status of the holder after one year. Can a joint name holder of the document file a suit for partition now based upon it. Are they not tresspassers after one year. Please enlighten me.

Dear sir,
in continuation of question about a Muslim father settling or gifting the property to his son., please suggest me a remedy to my problem about transferring the property to one of the son, if all others agree, ready & willing to give away.
further, as you said in your reply, he can sell the property to anyone, whether he can sell the same to the son only & if the sale is in favour of his son whether the duty payable on the sale is same as if the property is sold to any third party.
finally please suggest me way out for transferring the property if all questions put to you fail. as this is a urgent one. thanks lot for the reply so far given & was very knowledgable too. thank you.

1. I am student of Govt. College, they do not take lectures? Does the case lies under consumer act?
2. Lectures of other batches are also not taken? THough I am not related to the past batch, can a consumer complaint be filed in "Public Interest" to prevent violation of consumer rights of others?
3. Can one file Public interest litigation in consumer court?

Dear Sir,
I want to know whether
1) a Muslim Father can settle his property in favour of his one son, if he has got 11 other children.
2)is it best alternative to make a gift deed in favour of his one son?
whether this is valid in legally with respect to Islamic or any other law in India.
3)please specify if any condition or specific words to satisfy the law to be expressed in the deed ?
4) if this can be executed can you please forward a draft Gift deed or Settlement deed?

Stamp Act Schedule of which State shall be applicable to the assignment of copyrights of an indian company being taken over by a foreign multi-national company?
(a) the stamp act schedule of the state where the copyright was granted to the owner of the copyright?
or
(b) the stamp act schedule of the state under whose jurisdiction the owner of copyright assigned the copyright to the assignee?

suppose 'A' makes a proposal to 'B' by letter to sell his house and gives 10 days to reply..now 'B' on 6th day posted his assent by letter but it was not known to 'A' that 'B' has posted him the letter and on 7th day calls him('B') up to revoke the proposal as soon as he calls 'B', 'B' picks up the phone and says that he is agreed to buy now the communication is made between the two....will it b a contract???
is it necessary that acceptance should be done in the same manner as it was offered to the offeree ????
